Who?
My name is Flavio Bosi and I am an Italian photographer based in UK, not far from London. I have been shooting since 2008 and I gravitated naturally towards Street Photography after exploring many different genres.
I have a deep passion for the craft and I am always trying to better myself, learning, improving, making mistakes and treasuring the lessons in them. My main focus is image making but I have a slightly unhealthy love for the gear, which is why the blog will focus on both sides of photography: the craft and the gear!
Photography is my second profession and it’s an integral part of my life. I have always been creative, drawing since I was very young, and I have been a gigging musician for 15 years playing harmonica.
I have been running street photography workshops in London and abroad over the last few years and I have given talks to photography clubs on street photography. I deeply enjoy interacting with fellow photographers, helping them to improve their skills and their eye for a good image. Transmitting my knowledge and passion to my students is something I love. After teaming up with Mark Seymour, a fellow Light & Land tutor, we started leading photography tours together abroad and in UK. Have a look at the Workshops section to see where we are going and join us! We have recently published a few instructional videos on our Shoot the Street Youtube show, talking about street, travel and people photography.
I am blessed enough to have a true passion also for my first profession: chiropractic, physiotherapy and Fascial Manipulation©.
Last but not least, the most important part of my life is my lovely wife Daniela, who supports me while I follow too many interests for my own good!
Why 47 degrees?
That is the angle of view of my favourite focal length: 50mm on full frame! Most of my images are shot with that angle of view, whatever the format. That’s how I see, and that’s what I usually crave when I have a different lens mounted on the camera.
