Easter in Sicily

The devotion and emotion showed in the Easter processions in Marsala and Trapani are very deep and heartfelt.

They are not celebrating during the procession, they are grieving the death of Jesus. The re-enactment of the Via Crucis in Marsala and the Misteri Procession in Trapani are a profound experience for both believers and non believers, the atmosphere is sombre but the sense of community in credibly strong.
