Departing from Guwahati and its temples, we will be visiting Tezpur, the oldest city of Assam. We will then reach the Ziro Valley and get to know the Apatani tribe, renown for the facial tattoos and nose plugs worn by their women.

We will be there for the Myoko festival, during which the Apatani  celebrate fertility and family bonds. We will then travel to Majuli Island to spend time with the Mising tribe, then stop at the Kaziranga Nature Reserve.

The Carnival in the mining town of Oruro is one of the most suggestive and emotional in the world: over 20 hours of exciting music and spectacular masks parading and dancing through the streets to end on their knees in the church to worship the Virgin of the Mine. It is profound and fascinating experience. After the Carnival, the Bolivian photography tour will continue in and around the Salar de Uyuni, the largest salt flats in the world. We will be staying in a salt hotel, travelling through and witnessing otherworldly landscapes, photographing sunsets and sunrises, landscapes and the the Milky Way in the most incredible surroundings. We will conclude our adventure in La Paz, the highest capital in the world, visiting its streets and markets and photographing the Moon Valley, a lunar landscape.

We photograph the Trapani Easter Procession, a tradition over 300 years old. Groups of straining men parade through the streets of Trapani for 16 hours carrying on their shoulders incredibly heavy floats. We will be documenting their emotions and efforts.
